Company History

J. Carpenter Environmental, LLC (JCE) was founded in 2006 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Carpenter Brothers, Inc. (CBI), one of the largest distributors of foundry and industrial supplies and equipment in the United States. Founded in 1917, CBI built its reputation by providing foundries with high-quality products, equipment, and in-depth technical support through its experienced sales engineering team. JCE was established to expand into new industrial and environmental markets while continuing to support foundry customers with air pollution control and waste stream management solutions. 

 

Shortly after its formation, JCE began pursuing opportunities in environmental remediation and civil engineering construction markets. The company introduced products and technologies for waste solidification, heavy metals stabilization, permeable remediation barriers, cut-off walls, and other environmental remediation and construction applications. As these markets grew, JCE recognized an opportunity to create additional value by providing technical support, logistics coordination, rail and bulk delivery services, and repackaging capabilities that helped customers reduce costs and improve project execution.

In 2012, JCE further expanded its portfolio by entering the mining and mineral processing industries. JCE added new equipment and consumable products focused on air pollution control, dust and fines management, mining equipment, and material processing applications. This strategic expansion strengthened JCE's position as a comprehensive solutions provider serving a broad range of industrial and environmental markets. 

 

Over the years, JCE has continued to identify emerging technologies and best-in-class manufacturers whose products address evolving customer needs. Backed by the resources, technical expertise, and century-long legacy of CBI, JCE has become a trusted source for environmental and industrial solutions throughout North America and Internationally.
